Yes!  You can serve God!  Those were my words to an employee of a company where I serve as chaplain.  This employee has a talent to play billiards very well.  This person plays in a couple of leagues and is quickly moving up the rankings.  While playing, he has been able to share his testimony and invite others to his church.  But his biggest concern was could he serve God in a billiards league.  It is a privilege to equip people in serving God in their mission fields.  This employee is where the lost live and he is God’s masterpiece.

Re: Community Chaplain Blog

The Lord has laid it on my heart to reach out especially to the blended family. I go throughout each day looking for opportunities to encourage and the plant the seed of the gospel and build relationships with my colleagues and associates in the Hamilton County, TN community and adjacent areas. I'm looking to join with other community chaplains to form a faith-based ministry. Each chaplain will have strengths and a special calling to add to the mix of love and concern for our community.

Re: Community Chaplain Blog

I am very concerned about the decision by President Obama to repeal the ''Don't ask, Don't tell'' policy regarding the open induction of sexual perverts into the military and allowing them to marry on base.As a member of the L.D.S church this is totally unacceptable. Chaplains are now under pressure to toss out the dire warnings from Scripture about the fate of all who live this unholy lifestyle and be quiet about their convictions or suffer loss of rank and pay.
The day has now come when we will have to refuse to be silent about this issue.Truth has only one face and we must not fail in our duty to oppose this utter stupidity.

No nation or individual can spit on the laws of God without showing great disrespect to God who gave them in the first place, and putting themselves in a position to be cursed rather than blessed. I can imagine the look on God's face if Moses had made the suggestion that the ranks of Israel's army be riddled with homosexuals and lesbians!

This a moral crisis that has dreadful consequences for our future. Our response must be kind but firm and echo the words from a familiar hymn: ''Onward Christian Soldier going as to war with the cross of Jesus going on before!'' We must hold out Christ and Him crucified and not back down when we confront this gross error that will be spiritually fatal if we do not oppose this false teaching from the pit of hell itself.
May our Lord Jesus Christ help us to be valiant in these last days and speak the truth, for '' wickedness never was happiness''
